Pinnacle Youth Football

We follow Idaho High School Football rules in our 8th Grade league with the following exceptions:

1.  10 minute quarters with an 5 minute half-time
2.  Players over 185 pounds must have an "X" on their     helmet and are restricted to offensive line (tackle to tackle and defensive end (end to end - and must have their hand in the dirt).  On kickoff returns they must be located in the first row of players, they cannot play on kickoffs. (Violated is a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty)
3.  The football used must be a regulation high school football. If a youth sized football is used the penalty is a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct.
4.  The "home" team is responsible for the playing field including:
-scoreboard and/or on field time keeper
-Chains, chain crew
-field markers
-10 minute quarters

Points of Emphasis
*All players and coaches must stay within the 25 yard line boundaries and 3 yards off the field
*PAT that are kicked are worth 1 point, running or passing it in is worth 2 points
*Clock runs in the fourth quarter if the lead is 24 points or greater

All coaching staffs should be educated on these minor rule changes.  It is the responsibility of the home team head coach to ensure all rules and regulations are enforced.  Officials vary from game to game, coaching staffs don't.

Remember the goal of Pinnacle Youth Football is to give the players as many reps as possible.  While winning the games are fun, the goal is to make them better high school players.
